Expositions

The Museum of Trenčín is a significant part of cultural life in Považie (the river Váh Valley). The institution is a possessor to about 167 991 collections, of which there are 104 727 collections in the scholarship department, 36 358 ones of historical section, 6 496 ones of archeology, 4 451 collections of the arts and the rest of other ones are 10 598.

Except for its capital edifice at the Peace Square (The County House) the Museum of Trenčín also superintends the Trenčín castle (with several expositions), as well as the Charnel house of St. Michael (Karner) and the Executioner House in Trenčín. In Nové Mesto nad Váhom there is located the Podjavorinske museum and there is the other exposition installed inside Ambro´s manor house in Beckov. The Museum of Trenčín administers likewise Draškovič´s manor house in Čachtice, the Memorial Room of writer Ľudmila Podjavorinská (writer) in Bzince pod Javorinou and the Memorial Room of Ľudovít Štúr and Alexander Dubček in Uhrovec.
